2. Keep the people afraid of each other by means of race, sex, age, language, culture, etc;

3. Create conflict so that the powers that govern can be seen to solve the conflict, thus keeping people submissive;

4. Isolate and destroy any independent thinkers; and

5. Always deny the truth.
